Why have insurance?

Why do we value our possessions more than ourselves? The majority of Australians have car, home and contents insurance while the minority have life insurance and even fewer people have income protection insurance. This is for many reasons including misinformation, lack of understanding and the perceived costs associated with the protection. However it is not something you can afford to do without.

Many Australians will been touched by unexpected circumstance but only a few will be comforted in the knowledge that the financial future of their family is secured because they chose to have the appropriate insurance in place.

*statistics

The statistics are alarming yet still many Australians believe that it won’t happen to me.

Unfortunately, having this mind set means people are not prepared should they be struck down with serious illness or injury or even death.

Having personal insurance will provide financial security for your family’s future, and give you piece of mind knowing they are taken care of. If you were unable to work for a prolonged period, would you still be able to:

  • Make mortgage repayments?
  • Afford monthly bills?
  • Pay school fees?
  • Cover day-to-day living expenses?

Having the right insurance means that all of these can continue.
